Yep, this sounds like a case of the liberals eating their own. I thought to be a good liberal, we had to support these windmills. Alternative, renewable energy and all that. But apparently not in all cases.

The problem with windmills is that is sounds like a good idea - until you try to do it.
Once the actual cost/benefit numbers become clear, a rational company or government would
abandon the project, or at least postpone it until there is a better solution.
Instead we have engineering driven by politics and "green" ideology and the result is - much less than optimal.
