Speaking of 380s, does anyone have any insight into the Bersa Thunder 380?
Plenty reliable, but crappy trigger pull. You can do better for similar money.
I have not tried the “Thunder” but have owned several Bersa .380 pistols and they are fine guns. My first one was a strange one in which you pinched the front of the dust cover to take it down.
That little inexpensive Bersa may have been the most accurate pistol I have ever owned and that includes a bunch of High Standard, Ruger, Colt, and Browning target .22’s. That Bersa would just keep putting them all in the same hole at 15 feet, if I was really careful.
I’ve shot ‘em. Worked fine, price is right. Little big for a .380 though.
I had a Bersa Thunder .380 that I gave to my Dad, because he didn’t have a pistol in the home. It is a quality, accurate gun that’s extremely easy to field strip and clean. I wouldn’t have given it to him otherwise.
He shoots far, far less than I do - and .380 is a horrible caliber to find around here (more expensive, too). My XD is more rugged, but the Bersa is perfect for his purposes.
Can't add much to what's on the thread. Mine hates White Box, fairly easy to put all 7 rounds of most ammo into a silhouette head at 5, 7, and ten yards, recently had what felt like overpowered American Eagle FMJ fail to feed last week and this time of year it rides in the front pocket of lightweight cargo pants (in a Nemesis). The lady friend absconded (via legal transfer) with my 25 year old Taurus 85.
That Eagle thumped my palm pretty good. Been hearing other Federal stories out there about .223. No way to know if there's anything to it.
I have one and love it. Get the bigger mag. The pull is good. And it is cheap. Carries well in a pocket.
Another one fell apart on the firing line the very day you posted that question.
