Deer have 4 legs and can run on three. No one shoots a deer in the leg. humans don’t run so good on one leg and cant shoot worth crap when their gun hand won’t work.

I beg your pardon, humans are not nearly as tough as a deer of the same body mass. Humans are fragile. And I consider your numbers tripe. 158grain specials are not even close to the same thing as 125grain magnums.

People are tough animals too. Civilized people often forget that, but our bodies respond well to an emergency. When I fell off a bolting horse, the injuries were enough that I couldn’t lie down without pain for 6 months & couldn’t jog again for a year - but I immediately got up, caught the horse & brought her home.

Read about the 1986 FBI/Miami shootout. http://foia.fbi.gov/foiaindex/shooting.htm

The bad guy was fatally wounded almost immediately, but spent the next 4 minutes shooting and moving and killing. MOST people fall as soon as they realize they’ve been hit, because they THINK that is what happens. But a determined fellow can be shot multiple times and still function. If I have to choose between believing your post or the FBI, I’ll choose the FBI. I suggest others do so as well.

The numbers are real, and the 125 grain 357 round is no better at stopping someone than the 158. The ‘street studies’ aren’t real studies. They are collections of anecdotal evidence, and often the anecdotes the studies are based on conflict with the facts of the incident. There is a reason they have never been peer reviewed and why the database they used has never been made public...and a 158 grain bullet moving at 1000+ fps will penetrate and create a good wound - which is all any handgun bullet can do.

Your statement “A 357mag and higher will temporarily paralyze arms and legs even if nerves and bone are untouched” isn’t just wrong, it is stupid. There is ZERO evidence for it and a great deal refuting it.

Believe what you want, but please don’t post such ridiculous statements. Someone might innocently believe you.
