Microsoft was basically exonerated. The second case was where Microsoft was caught red-handed with QuickTime code in Windows. Apple got everything it wanted in the settlement, and MS got IE to be the preferred Mac browser at no cost to Apple. Microsoft was not exonerated.

I was speaking of the first case of the copyright infringement suit. The piracy of the Quicktime code was settled out of court, so Microsoft admitted no guilt, but you're right, they were not exonerated.
