"Unruly crowd" forms after 4th of July celebration

PHILADELPHIA - July 5, 2010 (WPVI) -- Independence Day celebrations got out of hand late last night when an unruly crowd converged on Center City.

Look, I am not going to argue with the date stamp on the posted photo referring to a July 4 mob taken in March.

I did do some searching, and I see that there is some sort of Internet flash mob thing going on in Philly and this was one of them in march and perhaps July, I dunno, don't care, never been to Philly and I'm not going.

But the picture posted to reflect the story posted are not in the same time frame.

And this has something to do with the photo being a lie? What is your intent?

All you need to do Mr. Mob professor is to right click the photo and scroll down to properties. You will see it came from the New York Times and not ABC. And the date is March twentysomething 2010. (I have it posted) So it can't be your mob of this weekend. If you check there are stories of a mob in late march as well.

I don't understand why. The pic was a different flash mob. But the same city. It seems to be happening a lot. And the police seem to be downplaying the violence. THAT would make me testier than a wrong pic.

I have seldom seen a poster go so out of their way to make a trivial point, and want to make it again, and again, and again.

Here is some advice - when someone admits a mistake about a photo, apologizes for it - but the original story is 100% legit - read the story, and drop it.

You'll look like a much bigger person.

This picture was posted months ago. i don’t have the link on hand but this is just to give a heads up. I saw it during the time that the aide to Gov Jindal was beaten. This did not happen last night.

That picture may have been from a prior incident as I do not think that Harry's Occult shop seen in the background is open any longer and was located on South Street. According to the video link in the article the incident did occur following the July 4th fireworks and concert, so it is a more recent incident; just an old picture.
