Thanks, I had been wondering if LE had spoken with the teachers. Perhaps that's why the school didn't question that he didn't return to class.

All the school staff and all the students & families who went to the Science Fair were interviewed.

However, with the exception of VERY early comments, none of the teachers have spoken publically -- evidentally, they can't, or they'd be in violation of contract rules & regulations.

Some posters have surmised that there will be a massive lawsuit against the school for its lax security.
