I've actually wondered if she wanted to divorce Kaine, but couldn't bear the idea of leaving Kyron whom she raised for so many years, and hatched some diabolical plot whereby he is SAFE, being held somewhere else, where she after her divorce intended to link back up with him ---- knowing that she'd never be granted visiting rights, much less custody of Desiree's and Kaine's biological child.

I know it sounds absolutely nuts, but . . . .

Good thinking - if she really resented Kyron - she could have always talked Kaine into letting Desiree have more custody time. IIRC She stepped into his life when he was only a few days old and his photos seem to show a very happy child. I think giving her bio 16 yea-old might have triggered some kind of resentment/revenge against Kaine, but why Kyron?
