When I was 7 and 8 years of age, I had an exceptional memory, and would frequently amaze my parents with all the minutia that I’d recall with precision about all manner of incidents and vacation trips and restaurant excursions, etc.
The press seems to portray as a 4 year old with Alzheimer’s who couldn’t possibly know what’s he’s speaking of.
I’ve read in one article that everything that Tanner remembered actually referred to Thursday when Terri & Kyron were setting up the project for the science fair in Kyron & Tanner’s school room.
Since we can’t trust the local press for objective reporting, and since all of us have been exposed to reams of reader comments all over the Internet, it’s hard to assess the information....
HOWEVER, there are some 7/8/9 year olds who have exceptional memories -— not all kids that age do, but some do, and the ones that do have SO very little, overall, to remember, that the recall of events is exceptionally precise.
Let’s hope Tanner does remember precisely what happened. IMO, any rumor that he got his dates confused is nothing but the school trying to cover themselves by jumping on the “substitute” term he used - substitute, chaperon, classroom helper, volunteer, room mommy, parent, some random adult... whatever the term, there was an adult other than the regular teacher who had charge of the 6 student group when Kyron went missing. Why would this unknown adult ask the teacher the day before about having only 5 instead of 6 in her group? See, that just doesn’t make since because there was no group the day before. There was a reason why his grandma felt the need to go against LE’s wishes and give the interview and get Tanner’s words on video. I hope Houze can get to the bottom of that interview for Kyron’s sake.
Exactly.
since = sense
Did you notice how many Terri-HATERS absolutely reviled Tanner’s grandma for permitting him to be on TV?
I found that very curious, but maybe those comments were posted by people who work for the City of Portland?
You see.... I’ve often wondered if Tanner’s grandma does NOT believe that Terri would harm Kyron and perhaps she contacted Steve Houze that Tanner’s accounts of the morning were not being taken seriously by LE.
In fact, isn’t it possible that Steve Houze specifically asked Tanner’s grandma to allow him on TV, to tell his story himself, in first person, to the public at large -— and potentially find more witnesses that recall similar tidbits that would exonerate Terri.
I of course have NO idea who is guilty, who the perp actually is; nonetheless, I am not impressed by the public face of the investigation.
Amazing attempt to pull no punches. I am calling it a play...
Another little oddity is that posters who claim to be local Portlanders frequently mention that no one believes that anybody else than Terri is responsible for Kyron’s disappearance..... but I wonder if this reaction is something specific to the PNW, as I can’t see this occurring in many parts of the country; afterall, as yet there is no physical evidence, ya know?
Typical Kaine, clueless and being led by the nose by LE and Desiree again. I know I would be unhappy with his constant cluelessness and never taking responsibility.
Talk about a study in contrast:
"I think a lot of people have the impression that she's in prison... "deep down, I think she's scared.
Desiree said when she's out in public people are "generally very sweet and supportive
Yes, I've wondered if Tanner's grandma did the interview because she believed Tanner and saw LE wasn't taking him seriously. What if Kyron was found in some closet in the school? What if some sicko is still out there?
Related to you Jacob Wetterling post - here’s a how to spot a liar that was on yahoo.com’s headlines just now
(I suppose just in time for the prez address tonight...). Anyway, I thought this was interesting in relation to Terri’s emails which is full of “I” and “Me”:
“Dishonesty in writing can now be detected, thanks to psychology professor James Pennebaker and his colleagues at the University of Texas at Austin. They developed a software program, called Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count, that can uncover lies by analyzing verbal and written content. The text tip-offs include an infrequent use of both personal pronouns and exclusionary terms. Why? Pennebaker claims liars prefer distancing themselves from their fibs and are troubled by complex thinking, so terms like “I,” “me,” “mine,” and “but,” “whereas,” “nor,” and “except” aren’t likely to appear in their writing.”

The SM forum created a new separate messagethread in the Kyron Horman forum for postings about the Portland area bondage scene. Here’s the url to the mobile version, it’s only a page & a half currently, with no info to speak of. (Yet.)

In the most recent general thread about Kyron, I was surprised to learnt that Harry Oakes had searched AROUND the Horman property, and at the edge of the property, one of his cadaver dogs had picked up a scent.
Won’t it be terrible if Mr. Oakes is correct, to wit: that AFTER official LE searched the property, that Kyron’s body was surreptitiously buried there.
Isn't that peculiar, at the very least, and more likely utterly clinically delusional?
LOL
I can’t believe this, but it apparently IS true. The Terri Horman support page at FB is announcing an online Cyber-Birthday Party for Kyron.

But currently there's an interesting discussion about the driveway of the Horman house. I'm positive James said that it's one third mile long.
With that in mind, I guess the idea that the following is ODD rings true:

"That piece of timeline has never made sense to me. Why would KH, TH and Kitty walk to the bus stop and pick up Kyron only to turn around and walk back home so that KH and Kyron could get in the car and go get ice cream at 4ish in the afternoon?"
On one of the boards, I happened to read that something strange was said in the comments part of the Terri Horman Support Page on FACEBOOK.
Someone, have no idea who, remarked something like, that IF all the awful public publicity surrounding this case would go away, that Kyron Horman would probably be handed back over, at once.
I don’t belong to FB, so am unsure what the exact wording was/is, but I hope that all the journalists who belong to it as ‘followers’ will research that specific comment further.
Also, the Facebook suppport Terri site is having a birthday celebration at some restaurant where there will be free fingerprinting for all children who show up and some other fundraising activities.
I that some K-9 search group is also scheduled to make an appearance.
MAYBE what I read was hoax infomation????

Whatever happened with Oakes’ needing a diver to see if there was a body in the water?
I looked at the satelite view of the property and the driveway appears to be about 100 yards so them walking down to meet the bus seems ok with a toddler.
However, the going to get ice cream scenerio never made sense to me but then I wouldn’t do what lots of folks think is reasonable. If I was looking at a long drive to drop off a kid with his other parent, I wouldn’t be wasting time but making sure he pottied and his bag was in the car so we could get going asap. I might go through a drive thru for an ice cream cone to eat in the car but certainly not a family outting that would take an hour or so. Does anyone know what time they were supposed to meet Desiree? I was surprised that they were able to reach her when they couldn’t find Kyron at school. I would have thought that she would have already been on the road but apparently not. So, there might have been time for ice cream but not much. Of course, some people don’t care if they arrive at appointments on time and that might also be the case with Terri and Kaine.
IMO, that’s just wrong on so many levels. I can see a finger printing and fundraiser event that just happens to be on his birthday but nix the birthday cake.
