Since I am one of six children, I suppose you could cal MY Mom a “Den Mother” Too! LOL!
Dad was a Gloucester fisherman, Navy WW2 and Korean War Vet. Dad and Mom took us to all the Historic sites, and when we went to Mystic Seaport in Connecticut, Dad saw the Wheel of his old twin-masted Fishing Schooner, the Sadie Noonan (upon which he had gone to sea at the ripe old age of NINE!)hanging on the wall in the Ship’s Chandler’s Office. You can bet that brought a tear to the old salt’s eye!
Hah - you had a tiny family, I’m #9 of 11 (the Borg have nothing on us) - now that’s a place I haven’t been in decades - Mystic, that’s amzing about the Sadie’s wheel!
