Seen it. 10 was offside on the first header, but offside typically isn’t called unless the ball is played to that person. He was out of the play for about 2 seconds there, then the Uruguayan defender came back to bring him on.

I've seen it again on my DVR in slow motion (several times). And, I generally agree with your analysis, but I think #10 (Steven Appiah) *could* have been whistled offside when the ball was flicked on because he was near the goalkeeper and could be considered a player that has to be accounted for by the defense. There has certainly been less called before as offside. In this case, though, I do think it was a good no call as he didn't get involved until he was played back onside. Watching that play in slow motion is even more incredible than real time. Simply unbelievable how that ball didn't go in...Appiah had a wide open goal on his kick and happened to find the knee of the Uruguayan defender. What a way to lose after nearly winning in the dying seconds.
