I think McCain’s military service and POW status removes any question about his loyalties... which is the heart of the natural born eligibility clause.
However, if there is ANY question as to whether or not place of birth disqualifies a candidate, they should become legally certified BEFORE running for office. And, if too many people still question their qualifications, they should consider not running out of respect for the law.
