Is that inside or outside the airplane?

“Strapped in while standing up.”
Somehow, this doesn’t sound that appealing...

For 10 buck flights I’d stand and hour or two, I stand longer than that at work everyday so, not so bad heh.

I believe the loo allows you to whiz in the open air, sort of like trains once opened the toilet on the tracks.

Airplane travel is being reduced to that of a carnival ride.

Interesting you say carnival ride. My first thought when hearing about standing room flights was to envision how stand up roller coasters work. It’s doable.

Wonder if Ryanair will hire some of those “packers” from Japanese railroad stations ?

This is another O’Leary publicity stunt. Vertical Standing “seats” are not approved for use on commercial aircraft anywhere in the world.

Watch, his NEXT plan will be to stack them horizontally, in the overhead bins...

The concept has been researched.

No way is this going to pass safety muster. I can’t see how they could make it work, unless the “standing seat” faces *backward* and has some sort of heavy industrial-strength harness that really locks the passenger into place.

Michael O'Leary, the airline's chief executive, will set out proposals today that include charging customers to use the loo.

Cleanup on aisle number 2!

You'll get more leg room that way too!

It's sort of an arial outhouse. "LOOK OUT BELOW!"
