GOOD MILITARY MONDAY TO AMY’S PLACE!

The Soldier’s Code

1) I am an American fighting man. I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

2) I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender my men while they still have the means to resist.

3) If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I will accept neither parole nor special favors from the enemy.

4) If I become a prisoner of war, I will keep faith with my fellow prisoners. I will give no information or take part in any action which might be harmful to my comrades. If I am senior, I will take command. If not, I will obey the lawful orders of those appointed over me, and will back them up in every way.

5) When questioned, should I become a prisoner of war, I am bound to give only name, rank, service number, and date of birth. I will evade answering further questions to the utmost of my ability. I will make no oral or written statements disloyal to my country and its allies, or harmful to their cause.

6) I will never forget that I am an American fighting man, responsible for my actions, and dedicated to the principles which made my country free. I will trust in my God and in the United States of America.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower, August, 1955.

“But even in our desire to be effective Christians, we must consistently be willing to retreat into God’s presence. Only in the refreshing of His strength can we find the resources to move forward in our service for Him. Retreat in Jesus before moving forward.”
_________________________________________________________

Jesus spent much time alone with the Father. Often getting up early to go have prayer time with the Father.

In this age/time of multitasking and texting, many are never at peace. this is not good. It distracts us from what is essential .... time praying and reading Scriptures. God's Word is alive ...

__________________________________________________________

Hebrews 4:12 (King James Version)

“12.For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

__________________________________________________________ Paul encouraged all hearers to go to the Scriptures to see for themselves the truth of what was being taugh to them. We have the priviledge of having the Word (HOLY BIBLE) in our homes. Yet it is the TV, computer, that gets the most attention. Scriptures say there is a time coming when there will be a famine of the Word ... read it while it is possible. books have been banned before. _________________________________________________________ "“Behold, the days come, says the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst” (Amos 8:11-13 KJV).

Happy Monday, DD.

I lurked for awhile before Jim got tired of me ranting to him about some post that I didn’t agree with. LOL

I think he said enough is enough and registered me. Then he called me with my login and password. :)

Sure happy that you found us those twelve years ago.

Good afternoon, SJB. Happy Monday.

Hope you had a red, white and blue 4th.

Happy Monday, Polly.

Sounds like you had a beautiful 4th, (except for those beetles).

Our temp is at 88deg at 12:30. I’m not sure what the forecast for today is. Hope it is not too hot.

Have a delightful week.

AMEN, Gail!!

Yes, we must take America back. The American people need to wake up and see what is happening to our beloved America.

Let’s work to get everyone to the polls in November. I pray that it is not too late.

Happy July 5th, Geologist. Hope you had a beautiful 4th.

It has been awhile since I’ve done anything new. The last time was about 10 years ago when I took to the streets with fellow freepers. Guess what! It wasn’t as difficult as I expected it to be.

I’m not going to try skiing ... I would probably break both legs and maybe my head. LOL

Wishing you a Blessed Week.

Good afternoon, Tiapammie. Thank you.

I slept in again this morning. Marissa came in and woke me at 8:15. She reminded me that we had donuts for breakfast.

Jr and Sissy left for home a couple of hours ago.

I hope to catch up on a couple of things before the week starts for real.

Have a delightful Monday while we continue to celebrate America’s birthday.

We had a wonderful day. We watched fireworks in the distance last night. Marissa spotted them and we watched until about 10:00. A couple of small communities (about 10 miles away) had firework displays. We were able to sit out and watch them.

Our crazy neighbors had some illegal fireworks ... figures, they are probably illegal too. Anyway, there is so much dry grass now due to the hot weather. Hubby took our tractor and made some fire breaks in their field of dried grass. They didn’t start any fires this year.

Millie is scared to death of the noise. If she sees the fireworks she gets all excited. She tried to push her way inside. Jr took a couple of radios outside and turned them up loud so she couldn’t hear anything except the BIG bangs. She finally went in her doghouse and went to sleep. The noise doesn’t faze Max. :)

Have a restful Monday.
