Please, These movies are too silly to be taken seriously. I asked a young lady (about 17) in a bookstore why she liked twilight, she said it was well writen and romantic. My sister lets my niece read the books, she said there was no sex in them and that she was glad her daughter was reading.
I heard one theory that “Twilight” was mormon propaganda.
However, it was banned from the LDS Church-owned Deseret Books after complaints from Church members about it's heavy content of teen activities that violated Church standards (e.g. Bella and Edward lying in bed together at night, after Edward has snuck in Bella's bedroom window to avoid detection by Bella's father), and a lot of other generally unwholesome stuff that isn't exactly "uplifting".
Unfortunately, some here on FR push the Twilight Mormon prop.
Mormon propaganda?
I know you’re just joking but...did you know.
Sex does show up in ‘Breaking Dawn.’
Bella and Edward get married - and have a honeymoon.
Bella becomes pregnant with Edward’s vampire child.
Also a gang rape is alluded to in ‘Eclipse.’
Bella is taken advantage of by her best non-vampire friend, Jacob, who forces a kiss on her.
etc..
