Carrie and Co are set to hang up their Manolos and finish off their cosmos for good as the Sex And The City juggernaught grinds to a halt. Following 12 years, 94 episodes and two blockbuster movies, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are out of work. After the second Sex And The City movie received scathing reviews, Grazia reports that all plans for a third installment have been shelved.

I never understood how that show even made it past the pilot - a story about four women having sex with the entire (usually male) population of Manhattan... yeck.
They were gay men trapped in women’s bodies.
Sarah Jessica Barker
Probably because without it, her looks would break mirrors...........
thx for remindin me I’m outta carrots
My wife has the entire series and we are watching it now. Its pretty raunchy, but very funny in places.

Ahh the bennies of 20+ years of marriage. I don’t have to watch that kind of stuff with my wife. I retire to the basement with my computer and musical instruments.
It’s funniest when my daughter and her husband come home for a visit. Why just last week, it was announced that the girls wanted to watch When in Rome. My daughter’s husband still has to watch with her.
Quality time with my wife does not involve tv.
SITC is basically 4 Gay Men, being played by straight women... nothing more complicated than that.
After a short but very fun relationship, I was just unceremoniously dumped by a gal who announced, without warning, that me having kids interfered with the lifestyle she preferred and she was moving on to men without responsibilities like mine. She is a big SATC fan. I don’t think the two things are unrelated.
It was all about a script written as 4 gay men, but having them played as 4 straight women so folks would watch.. pure and simple.
Manolos are shoe that start about $400 and go up and up and up...............

Yeah, I can see that. I’ve never talked like the women on that show and neithr have my friends. We would watch that show strictly for the fashion.
Sarah is probably a nice person but she is one of the plainest women ever and how she got to be a tv star and regarded as pretty is a bigger mystery than how a weird muslim guy got elected American president.
Well, I am not sure about that. I heard that she didn’t want to mess up her body again. And if she couldn’t get pregnant, she could have implanted the eggs in her just as well as the surrogate.
It was blatantly obvious to me when I first watch the show that this show was clearly a show written as 4 gay men being played as straight women. Many women miss this, until its pointed out to them, they deny it.. until I point out to them, have you or any of your friends EVER interacted with each other the way these women do? In terms of what they say and how they say it? And of course they say No.. I then ask, do you have any gay friends? And if they answer yes, I ask have you ever seen them together in a group?... and invariably if they have, their jaws drop the to the floor and realize that I am absolutely right and wonder how they didn't see it.
Three of the four are in their mid 40’s, and Kim Cattrall is in her mid 50’s, which is kind of old to be playing that kind of female role any more.
Check out some womens shows like "Drop Dead Diva".
Some women like the fantasy that middle-aged, unattractive women will still have handsome, high-status guys chasing them.
Me either. I never watched the show and the few episodes I did watch made me think it made women look really bad and desparate. There must be a lot of 40+ yo women who still the knight on a white horse is going to show up for them?
There should be a *think* in there!
I think the writers are male homos.. So the females act like, take a wild guess.
