I’ve got friends from Uruguay and Ghana I’ve been watching the WC with, but I think I would love to see Uruguay win it all, just to tweak their neighbors. Especially, since it would give the Urus three titles to the Argies two. Not likely, but who knows.

We’re going to be going through withdrawal for the next two days.

Rooney looks like he’s enjoying that Portuguese jaw movement...

Well Ronaldo is trying to get Rooney to come over to Real Madrid, I guess he misses him.

Talked to my friends today in Jo-Berg.
He said everyone there was saying how well the American team acted after getting screwed a few times. He said the Americans were a class act the entire stay.

Notice that CR didn’t sing the national anthem? The guy is so in love with himself, that he would only sing if they added another verse singing HIS praises.
I missed the beginning, so I hadn’t noticed. But yes, that is exactly what I would expect from this narcissistic greaseball.

That image must be photoshopped. Cristiano’s head is much too high!

Univisión reported that there were a series of thefts by the housekeeping staff in the hotel rooms of the English players, and that most of the items stolen were: THEIR UNDERWEAR!

Also, some jewelry. Arrests have been made.

If South Africa is such an unruly third world country, don’t these teams or FIFA have staff and people to monitor the housekeeping crews in hotels PRECISELY because these types of thefts & burglaries of famous sports figures are such an occurrence?

If it's possible, I want to see an Argentina versus Uruguay final. THAT would be a match with major historical significance because in the first FIFA World Cup Final 80 years ago, Uruguay defeated Argentina 4-2.

Hmmm, yet searching for “Rooney underwear” on eBay yields no results :-(

Holland - Brazil was a great game sorta. Yes the Dutch scored a couple of cheap goals, but they scored nonetheless, and then Brazil completely fell apart. I was watching at a local Brasilian restaurant with the expected partisan crowd - man, the tears at the end of that game were heartbreaking. But congratulations to Holland and good luck against Uruguay.

Holland got ahead, and Brasil disintegrated. I’m thinking a Germany - Holland final.
