And he was a co-sponsor of Byrd-Hagel, which rejected the Kyoto Protocol in a Sense of the Senate Resolution after Clinton signed us up for it. For that, we owe Byrd, and I am grateful.
I usually drive that way going to Columbus to visit my SiL.

BTW, they finally finished revamping the Capitol bldg. dome. Intricate relief covered w/ gold leaf. It’s beautiful.

If Joe Manchin runs, Shelley Moore Capito probably won’t. Otherwise, I think that if she does run, her maiden name will carry more weight than her stance on the abortion issue. The state is very clannish (with a c, not a K) and many politicians come from families with a long line of politicians.
