There used to be a time when innovation like this happened in America on a regular basis. Now it is a rarity as anything like this proposed here is immediately scaled down or quashed entirely by over-regulation, over-taxation, etc.
By this time next year, the United States won't even have the capability for manned space travel and nobody seems to care. Instead of encouraging our children to get engineering degrees and change the world, they are getting liberal arts degrees and going on welfare.
