Here is a load of BS from the article...

The trumpets were first produced and marketed in 2001 by South African Neil Van Schalkwyk, who still owns the rights to the vuvuzela name.

We had these as kids back in the 60's. Invented them in 2001 my you know what. Are their any reporters out there that actually know anything.

And it aint called a vuvuzela. It is a plasic horn.

Yep. I remember them back then.

We used to try to throw snowballs with them.

We had yellow ones at the 4th of July parade as long as I can remember in the early 70s

LOL Those are an annoying kids toys we all had as kids no one “invented” them in 2001! You know I think my Mom actually took that thing from me and stomped it to death a few days after I was given one? Horrible horrible things.
