The NFL is turnin into as big a thug league as the NBA. And the NBA is bad.
Vick hasn’t been an NFL star for a long time.
Thug Football League
I can hear Rush Limbaugh chuckling all the way from where I sit.
I hope the NFL completely crumbles.
Someone help me out here, but isn't Vick still federal probation? You're explicitly forbidden from associating with known felons while on probation. If Vick is still under probation, he may be violated.
Probably isn’t allowed in an establishment that serves alcohol either.
If he’s still on probation, which is likely, he may be in deep doo.
He got 23 months, served 21, and his term was up July 20, 2009. So he’s not now on probation.
Now that he's 30, the clock is time is running out for him to get his act together enough to ever be one again.
The style of play that made him a star not only requires exceptional fine motor skills that deteriorate with age, but is challenging for a even young man to stay healthy.
He is still on probation, but still no confirmation that the dogfighting co-defendent was with Vick at the party. All we know is that the co-defendent was admitted to the hospital, which also happens to be just a few miles from the club and about 30 miles from Newport News, where he resides. I am also hearing that Iverson may have been at the party.
¡Viva Mexico!
Thank goodness for NASCAR!
It is pretty sad that the atheletes in my hometown are represented by the Vicks, Iverson, Plaxico, and Lawerence Taylor. The only decent one I can think of is Bruce Smith, but even he seems to get a DUI charge every couple of years.
No way!

Are you sure? Just because he would have been on supervised release for two months, doesn't mean that was the end of his probationary period. He likely was sentenced to "x" amount of prison time plus "x" amount of probation.
The judge has no control over the Vick's eligibility for early release based on behavior, but he does have control over the probation that is awarded. Vick, IIRC, was eligible for 5-6 years at sentencing, but escaped with less than two years. I would be a little surprised if he wasn't sentenced to at least some additional probationary time.
If Vick is involved with his old dog fighting buddies, he could end up going back to the slammer. Parole requirements almost always include provisions about having contact with the other defendants.
I've never been a Vick fan, and as a Cowboys fan, I sure wouldn't ever root for him, but his conviction cost him about $120 million and three years in jail. Since his release, there has been no whiff of scandal from him. I'll wait until some kind of confirmation that he was involved in this before hammering him. If he was involved, yeah, he needs to be cut and possibly returned to jail if he violated his parole.
Even the allegation that he's involved with his old buddies will hurt him badly as far as getting a starting QB job in the NFL again. No team wants to go through what the Falcons went through last time.
