Ah, I think I’ve finally got it now. Thanks so much for bearing with me as I sorted it out. There’s no crime that’s been committed related to Obama’s internet posted birth certificate, the factcheck.org birth certificate, the Daily Kos COLB or the politifact.org COLB.

We do know for sure that the PLAINTIFFS in the Ankeny et. al v The Governor of Indiana, Mitch Daniels lawsuit used at least the information from the factcheck.org COLB. Whether they submitted the actual copy of the COLB, I do not know but the Indiana Court of Appeals made reference to factcheck.org in their opinion.
The Court’s exact words were: “The bases of the Plaintiffs’ arguments come from such sources as FactCheck.org, The Rocky Mountain News, an eighteenth century treatise by Emmerich de Vattel titled “The Law of Nations,” and various citations to nineteenth century congressional debate. For the reasons stated below, we hold that the Plaintiffs’ arguments fail to state a claim upon which relief can be granted, and that therefore the trial court did not err in dismissing the Plaintiffs’ complaint.”

I still maintain that it would be relevant and interesting to see if the Obama COLB WAS used for any legal purpose relating to the 2008 presidential election and a grand jury investigation and subpoena power might just uncover that information. Remember that Grand Juries can be convened for just about any purpose and in many states there is a standing, permanent grand jury with rotating jurors that can take up just about any issue that the District Attorney or the Attorney General’s office might want to investigate.
