Pay no attention to the oil spill. We now have more pressing matters to focus on, like the racist insubordination of that cracker General, and American soccer.

Maybe they broke it when they removed the cap.

Not the same angle. If you look at the June 3rd video, in the lower left hand corner, you can see the cut that is on the right hand side in the present video. Remember, these cameras are on ROVs, that are floating in the water, and their angle changes constantly.
FYI, the bottom part of the cut on the current video is where they used the diamond saw, the angled cut that is real easy to see on the June 3rd video is from their using the pipe cutter.

Tough to say. It looks like the current view is rotated about 90° from the earlier pic. If you consider the first view as a twelve o’clock position, I think we’re now seeing the 3 or maybe the 9 o’clock position.
Sure does look like the pipe has seen some distress in any case.

Why this sucker can’t be successfully sealed and siphoned is beyond me. I know there’s some tricky physics involved, but give me a break. Something else is in play here and I think I know what it is. Glenn Beck has clearly illustrated the end game.

They should put a cap in in!
Guess Barry O. found some ass to kick and look like a tough guy by RIF’ng the good General.
Still that video of the fly being drawn to Barry is just to hilarious a metaphor and I hope it happens often.

What is it with Obama and flies landing on him? Okay.. Don't answer that. LOL !!!!!!!

There is something else in play, which has been said again and again. The BOP is compromised. Otherwise it would simply have sealed the well as was its job. Piping down well is also compromised, else the top kill likely would have worked.
If they simply plugged the end, which is technically feasible, they’d likely shift the location of the spill further down the well. siphoning the oil coming up is the only course possible until the relief wells are completed. It isn’t a conspiracy, it is simply a well with pressures that exceeded design. Otherwise known as a wildcat.
Last wildcat in the gulf spewed for 14 months, I would have to say that they are massively ahead of schedule.

The pipe is 21” in diameter and 1” wall. The wire saw cut part way through the pipe and I think that that is where the horizontal break is. I think there is much less oil cumming out now than when it was cut off. They said they had another cap they wanted to put on.

So you’re saying the ability to create a suction from above is not possible, as the amount of pressure from the well exceeds that which is technically possible to siphon? These are layman’s terms, obviously, as I’m no expert, but is that about right?
