Yes they do. If a referee had a poor preformance he will not be allowed to “lead” further matches in this tournament.
The referees are watched the same way players are.

btw. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhh Ghana just missed a big chance! Please god let the germans fail! ;-)
