For the last few days, both my computers started having trouble loading Free Republic pages, sometimes taking several minutes. I've noticed more than usual multiple postings for the same Freepers which tells me they are having the same problems. Has this been a problem with other users or it it just my problem? Thanks

Same problem. The loading was stopped. I unplugged the computer and restarted it. It worked.

I have absolutely noticed major slowdowns too. Perhaps they are doing some kind of maintenance.

Yes, I’ve certainly noticed it also.

Yes, laggy.
I doubt is it my computer or connection, because no other sites I frequent are lagging.

It’s just all the gov’t installed tracking software.

Flush your computer’s DNS cache - and if you’re behind a firewall/router that has a DNS cache, flush that too.

I’ve spent much of my lag time over the years of FR. Since the pages are also ‘laggy’ lately, it’s all good.

I couldn't get FR to load at all for almost 2 days.
Then, sporadically last night and today.
tonight, it seems to be ok.

Same problem. I’ve cleaned the drive, rebooted. I think Jim needs to start posting ads and upgrading the equipment.
