He should resign. He, as a genreal, should NEVER have gotten involved in politics.

He should have also never agreed to meet the failure of a president on his home turf, rather had the balls like MacArthur, to have made the president meet him on neutral ground.

Anyhooooo, this damages BOTH men, our piece of crap president, and Stan, a damn fine general, even if he did vote for this piece of crap president.

McChrystal isn't stupid. He knew his words would get him fired or he'd have to resign. What it tells me instead is that either the Obama administration and by extension the ambassador to Afghanistan were meddling politically with McChrystal or Obama (Biden) was interfering with his military plans or both.

Like I said, McChrystal didn't get this far in the military without a political brain in his head. He knew damn well what he was doing. I think he just got fed up and said WTF. Sometimes generals are better off preserving their military intellect and falling on their sword for the sake of principle.

My 2 cents anyway.
