Make mine the Glock 19.
My first was a Glock 22 (which I later converted to 9mm with a Lone Wolf barrel), but the 19 is the more practical “every day” package.
He talks too much......
I have both the 26 and the 17 as well as 15 other various handguns.
Both glocks are great guns and I have tens of thousands of jamm free rounds through them.
IMHO, the G26 is the best of all. I’m not kidding, the G26 is my carry, range, SHTF, etc gun.
I shoot better with the G26 than the 17.
I only have 7 hand guns so I may add a Ruger Red Hawk .45 colt in stainless.
:)
Or if your budget is tight, check out Hi-Point Firearms. Made in the USA, usually under $200 new and come with a lifetime, transferable warranty.
I was primarily a SIG fan (and still am), but I sold one of my SIGs (P229) to buy my Glock 19. Side by side, I couldn’t justify much about the SIG over the Glock. Lighter, smaller, etc.
I still keep a few SIG pistols, including my very first pistol - a SIG P226 I bought in WEST Germany in 1990.
What?! No 10mm?!
I’m glad he likes the G27, that’s my next investment. Tried it out at the range last month don’t think it kicks badly at all. I went with the G30 first, wish I started here.
Whatever you do, don’t buy one in 9 and another in .40.
Wrong ammo in gun, bad news in the middle of a dark street pissing contest.
Love my .40s. 27 and 23.
What is it about the 30 that you don’t like?
S&W MPc.. can get it w/ a thumb safety too.
Friend who’s an armed security guard carries a Glock .40. I’ve shot it at the range; damned nice gun. No wonder it’s used by so many PD’s and security officers.
After hundreds and hundreds of rounds, I've never had a miss fire or hang and much of it hand loaded ammo with various charges and bullet weights.
My fav and most accurate round is 185 grain nosler hollow point loaded a little hot with unique powder and winchester primers.
The weight. I knew I wanted a sub compact and thought they were mostly the same but they are not. Loaded the G30 weighs 34oz and the G27 is 26.8oz., big difference if you’re going to carry it all day IMHO. I do recommend the sandpaper decal grips, they really help. Especially if it’s humid.
Glock 27 subcompact .40
Glock 22 full size .40
Get 9mm conversion barrel for each and you have the best of both worlds. 9mm for cheaper shooting and .40 for more stopping power self defense.
