The 64-year-old actress, who won an Oscar for The Queen, took part in the Juergen Teller shoot to publicise her latest role as a brothel madam in Love Ranch. "I'm still the good girl who wants to be a bad girl," she said in the accompanying interview for New York magazine.
Why shouldn't women try to have it all if that's what they want?"But I'll never make it as a bad girl... I'm not a prude or a moralist and I never have been, but I'm too fearful, too much of a wimp, really."
Dame Helen said she learned early in her career to use her sexuality to her advantage, appearing in the notorious 1979 film Caligula.
"A lot of it is plain, old-fashioned practicality. I wanted to work. When I did Caligula, for example, I hadn't really done movies," she explained.
"But I was kind of a trailblazer because I demanded to do it my own way. I'd say, 'I'm not having it put on me by someone else'. I didn't want to be the sort of puritanical good girl with a little white collar who says, 'Don't ---- until you get married'."
Love Ranch is directed by Dame Helen's husband, Taylor Hackford, and is based on the real-life story of the couple who owned the Mustang Ranch, the first legalised brothel in the US. Joe Pesci plays her husband.

I remember the firs time I turned on the television in England and saw full-frontal nudity. It was Helen Mirren in “Cal,” and more than twenty years ago.
Sure, as long as it is accompanied by a typical Obama "limp-wrist" type photo and a picture of Hillary's legs, plus the Michelle Obama "walking the dog" photo. Those four pictures need massive publication.

She's had that tatoo over forty years. There's an interview of her on YouTube (when she's in her twenties I think) where she talks about the tatoo.

Mirren decided decades ago to never have children. It was the best decision she has ever made and probably last good decision she has made since.
