You are wrong. SB1070 is one of the very few mistakes Republicans have made.
How is it a mistake to protect the citizens of the Arizona by enforcing a less harsh federal law?
“SB1070 is one of the very few mistakes Republicans have made.”
You keep saying you don’t like it and it is a mistake; however, you cannot defend this position with facts.
Illegal immigration depresses pay! It eats up vital financial resources from the city all the way up to federal levels! ALL illegal immigration is a NET LOSS for regular taxpaying Americans (natural or naturalized [that’s LEGAL immigration]), so this is a GOOD bill.
More importantly, SB1070 simply reinforces existing federal law! Please tell me how reinforcing the EXISTING law is bad?
Have you read SB1070, as amended? I doubt it. It mirrors federal immigration law and is less onerous thatn California's anti-illegal immigration statutes.
SB1070, as amended, allows Arizona to enforce the provisions found in federal law that prohibit illegal immigration.
I'm curious, Danny. Is your last name Hernandez? Hererra? Hidalgo? Hispanic? Because, when you look at it closely, it is the Hispanic enabling groups in the U.S. (LaRaza, MeCHA, MALDEF) who are the most vocally opposed to the law. And that is because they can't afford any sort of set-back in their agenda of taking over the American Southwest.
You're entitled to your own opinion regarding our law, but you aren't entitled to your own facts. Sorry, amigo. You're flat-out wrong. It is not the worst thing Republicans in this state have done, not by a long shot.
