You know, folks like Noonan and Mort Zuckerman whining about Obama, after they praised him, pushed him, and voted for him in the face of all the evidence that led less besotted observers to see him for the empty suit he was, and is, leave me stone cold. Especially because these are the same snotty jackasses who arrogate to themselves superiority over those of us less perceptive folks.
Listen up, you punked, chumped boobs: We looked at Obama not through your rose colored hallucinations, but through the cold, clear spectacles of reality.

Noonan, especially. She’s dead to me.
yep! for a while now here.
Noonan is afraid she will not be invited to all the upper Manhattan cocktail parties if she does not feign worship at the altar of elite liberalism.
I can't recall the last time i read one of her articles and didn't come away thinking, "What was that all about?" She tries so hard to be poetic, like she has this rep to live up to, and original, which you either just are or are not, and she ends up with this big mess, and then she nods like it's profound, when it's just impenetrable.
I know. I read Noonan’s book about her times during the Reagan era, and so enjoyed it. Her idiocy during the last election was astounding. It’s like she got possessed or something.
Mort might have been fooled. But I bet Homer Zuckerman was not fooled.
Why were they fooled. He (maybe) wrote a book saying what he wanted to do. Until the election he talked about what he wanted to do. He had a voting record that was not just “present” some of the time.
It might help some of those who needed to vote for a black man to think it is his white half that is the extremist leftist nut case. Left wing extremist left wing nut case is an equal opportunity position. Maybe we can get them to criticize his white half.
Peggy who??
Effindems.
Cain’t do nuthin’ right!
Reagan kept her grounded. Every woman needs a good conservative man in her life.
Peggy writes like she’s paid by the word.
Especially with her “snakebit” article. She still wants to believe.
We are seeing a crisis, an extinction of ‘experts’. From one area to another, from simple assessment of Obama’s thin resume, to Global Warming, to national and international banking, to ecologic catastrophies, to foreign policy, the experts have been shown to be filled up to their eyeballs in bullshit.
Talk about the “soft bigotry of low expectations”.
Question is: how low will he go?
I stopped caring about what those Vichy Republican rumpswabs had to say a long time ago.
Really. I only got half way through and found it unreadable.
The two big breakover points to me were Phil Donahue and Bill Maher. Donahue had this audience of touchy feely women who served as a Greek chorus for him. He was an early master in getting people that didn’t have any media experience and cutting them off and using his media experience to cast them in a bad light. It hit full stride with Bill Maher’s “Politically Incorrect.” The show operated on the premise that everyone’s opinion was of equal value on any subject. I saw about half of one episode, and it was like sitting around a relatively boring cocktail party with people about as informed as the character Tom from the Great Gatsby.
Peggy got possessed or corrupted. Obviously, she was corruptible. I guess she fell into the trap of thinking George Bush just wasn’t intellectual enough for her likes.
Phooey on her.
