She harmed herself on this point. I agree with you. Taints her unfortunately.
I disagree with her on McCain as well, but I don't see it as a fatal flaw. Reagan only agreed with me a little over 90% of the time, and I was willing to forgive him for being wrong (and to question whether he might be right). Palin is hitting about the same percentage or a little better, and rather than seeing that discrepancy between my views and hers as a "taint", I'd describe it as a minor detail. It's not like she supports 90% of the Constitution and ignores the Second Amendment and a couple of other major portions. She just values loyalty to a GOP leader (who I'll admit may eventually help bring a few Dems along when real Americans regain a majority) more than I would.

I think worse than making us miserable is the damage that her endorsement for McCain does to the value of her endorsements for anyone else.
Every time I hear “Palin endorses so and so”, my instant reaction is; “So what? She also endorses McCain. Her judgement means nothing to me.”
