A two-term Minnesota state senator facing a Republican primary challenger has confirmed reports that he had dinner with a gay adult film star.
Sen. Paul Koering (KOHR'-ing) confirmed the meeting to the Brainerd Dispatch after several websites reported on it.
The newspaper says Koering had dinner with Brandon Wilde at a Brainerd restaurant on Sunday. Wilde is described as a gay porn star in his Twitter profile and posted messages about the date on Twitter.
Wilde did not immediately respond to a message sent through his Facebook account.
Koering represents a conservative north-central Minnesota district that includes the cities of Brainerd and Little Falls. He revealed that he is gay in 2005.
Republicans in Koering's district are backing insurance agent Paul Gazelka in the Aug. 10 primary.

To come out as gay is one thing. To have dinner with a gay porn star is another.
I suspect Paul Koering will be looking for a new job in August. That's when we hold our primary.
Comments or opinions - anyone?

"To come out as gay is one thing. To have dinner with a gay porn star is another. " Ditto. Even if he was dining with a female pornstar, that would be a problem.

Hah! George Costanza would ask him if he ever had lunch with Buck Naked?

It could be a cousin or something. Maybe a friend from high school. This seems rather harsh. Now if he was propositioning him or something like that freak in Colorado did than that would be a different story.

Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Jesus Christ would not make it on this site. He would be criticized daily. He never could run for office. First sign that Jesus spoke to Mary Magnelin and it would be over for him. You guys would dump Jesus or at least throw him to the curb.

'First sign that Jesus spoke to Mary Magnelin and it would be over for him. You guys would dump Jesus or at least throw him to the curb. " I see. So, you apparently believe that our good state senator was counseling our intrepid gay porn star, hoping to get him to repent and change his sinful ways? Is that correct?
And, where did this "counseling" take place? At Iven's on the Bay, that's where...
Does this look like the kind of place Jesus would be ministering to his flock - or does this look like the kind of place that a homosexual would try to get jiggy with a male porn star?
I'll let the readers draw their own conclusions.

On the one hand they want us to believe that they just want loving long term relationships just like straight people.
On the other hand.............

Getting caught prepositioning someone would be one thing, but just having lunch with the guy I would have to say I need more info also. The gay porn star twittered this, did he say anything about the guy prepositioning him or anything like that? If I was a voter in this district I would not draw any conclusions based on a lunch. I would be voting on the issues, not if he might have had sex with a gay porn star.

I thought everyone from Minnesota—except Stuart Smalley—was naturally “happy”.

Wilde is described as a gay porn star in his Twitter profile and posted messages about the date on Twitter. Calls it a date. Not a meeting.

Yes, Jesus ministering to a former prostitute is so very like a gay congressman dating a gay porn star. Not.
