I totally agree, plus, I don’t like watching soccer anyway, and find no charm in watching soccer for 90 minutes to a stirring 1-0 score and listening to that ridiculous noise. When in the hell did that incessant racket start with those damn horns?????? What were they thinking????????? Sorry, but I’d rather watch pro wrestling where the winner is predetermined and covered with Vaseline.
I enjoy an occasional soccer game, I used to have season tickets back in the NASL days, but I refuse to watch the World cup with that incessant humm....it's on a frequency that I just can't stand.
I don't mind the low scoring games if the skill level is high enough because then the ball control and passing can be entertaining in themselves...just like watching a Barry Sanders 8 yard run that didn't score a TD...the balance, control and creativity can be enjoyable in themselves. But not if I have to listen to what sounds like hornets on steroids.
