Good for this guy. While none of my relatives have been unidentified, my cousin Betty's father was never found, even though his best buddy came to the family after the war and described what happened to him, his body was never identified. It would be nice if, before she died, his body was positively identified.
BTW, his buddy eventually married my uncle's wife's sister and was a member of the family until he died of a heart attack in 1967.
