The only thing worse than sitting in Texas Memorial Stadium and watching the Horns kick the dog poop out of Baylor is having to travel to Waco to watch the Horns kick the same dog poop out of Baylor.

And the same could be said about playing or traveling to A&M, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, etc.

As a season ticket holder, I would have loved the Pac 16 but down here in Austin, it is all about the money and Bevo poops money by the millions.

This isn’t directed at you particularly...but since you mentioned us, and the article could only say “Iowa State....has a good wrestling progam” I just wanted to weigh in.

Are we a perennial power? No, not yet...and MAYBE not ever. However, there were about 30 Bowl games last year, and we were one of the WINNERS of our bowl game. We beat Minnesota at the Insight Bowl; we were a positive in the Big 12 football season last year. And, we exceeded expectations greatly with our new first-time head coach.

I like Texas, and the rest of the Big 12 schools. Unlike the Nebraska fans, we appreciate playing in a conference with Texas, A&M, OU, etc. I always watch every televised Big 12 game during the season, and when any Big 12 school is playing someone from another conference, you have a very VOCAL band of supporters up here in Iowa, although since no one pays any attention to us you probably do not know it.

Can we please get a little bit of help? When guys like this make us out to be laughing stock, particularly in light of the fact that we just won a bowl game...can you use your considerable weight & numbers to help us call them out on it? It can only help our conference become stronger.
