Carrol’s absolutely correct, kneejerk jealous Trojan-hating comments aside. Jealousy of the most successful program in eons is small and unbecoming.
"Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll has steadfastly defended his tenure as the head coach at Southern California from 2001-2009 and decried the sanctions imposed on the school by the NCAA last week.
But at least one of his current players thinks Carroll made a shrewd move leaving the Trojans behind for the NFL. Seahawks WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh told TMZ that Carroll made the right decision:
"Yeah, of course. Get out when the house is burning."
Carroll had maintained since he left USC that he did not expect the NCAA to issue sanctions against the school.
At least ONE of Carroll's current players understand's just WHY he left. He saw the sanctions coming, and got out before he could get caught by them. Plain and simple.
