I used to think that, but over the last few years, the Aggie inferiority complex over Texas has gotten incredible. I covered the Baylor game this year at College Station and half the Aggie yells are about beating Texas.

I'm standing on the sidelines photographing a Baylor-A&M game and all I hear from the stands is "Beat the hell outa tu!"

It also cranks the Aggie wagger that Texas is their big rival and Oklahoma is Texas' big rival. Aggies think it bothers UT people that they call us "Texas University," and when they write it, don't capitalize it, as in "tu."

Here's the Aggie War Hymn:

Having gone to the University of Texas, it always seemed creepy to me that the entire Aggie War Hymn is about another college. The Aggie War Hymn is a BIG DEAL to A&M. A lot of Aggies have it played at their funeral.

OTOH, it could be a good thing for A&M to go to a different conference. They're way too fixated on UT.

Course, they'll have to change their fight song and all the Aggies will have to get rid of those "Saw em off" window stickers on their pickups.

I suspect there's more than a little influence from shoemakers in these decisions. LOL!

I’m a UT grad, still live in Austin and have season tickets to UT games.

During UT home games my friends and I have a tailgate party by the stadium and have a good spread with great brisket, good beer a full bar and wide screen TV.

We make it a point to always invite fans of the visiting team into the tailgate and offer them food and drink.

Every fan from every team accepts our invitation or politely declines. Nine out of ten Aggies will tell us to go to hell or to get f****d or ignore us completely.

The Aggies have no choice but to keep UT on their schedule each season as that is the only way A&M can get themselves on national TV every year.

Sounds you are just a hater of Texas A&M. Seems like a strange place to spew the hatred. Oh, and I seem to remember that the Texas fight song has a few words about A&M too! GIG em AGGIES!!
