Being a Husker alum, I see nothing but positive changes for Univ of Neb.

And being an alumni of two Big Ten schools I see no benefits to the conference, either in athletics or academics.

Obviously the Big Ten sees value in Neb joining otherwise the offer would never have been made. Has to be a win-win scenario for both Neb and the Big Ten. Strictly from a college football fan perspective, I think it's going to be great for college football, the Big Ten and Neb.

Athletically, Neb brings a lot to the conference, academically, they don't.

except for the chance for the B10 to become relevant in the world of football again.

The reality here is that the conferences are re-aligning into several super conferences. The B10 could just as easily be on the outside looking in as the SEC and the Pac10 take over college football. Under Pelini and Osborne the Huskers are on a serious upswing and will be competitors within the top 10 this year and beyond.
