Seems to me the big 12 is about the end. Nebraska has been wanting to leave for sometime when it noticed the big Ten was better for them. They didn’t like the Big 12 South schools especially Texas. So as such Colorado bolted because it saw what was coming and they were the first to be invited to the Pac 10. The Pac offered them first to not get Baylor on board.
The Pac wants the best schools. As such Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado and Texas Tech were on the radar.
It seems those schools hated the big 12 too because the big 12 North schools didn’t always agree to their desires. Only one was Colorado.
But now it seems another school Texas A&M is split between going to the Pac or SEC. It seems like it is leaning to the SEC. As such Kansas may sneak into the Pac 10 of A&M is out.
Meanwhile Nebraska dissolved itself out of the big 12 and was voted into the Big Ten when they petitioned to join.
Missouri may head their too, but now it seems the Big Ten is waiting. Not sure what got them to accept Nebraska and Not Missouri so quickly. But if they wait too long Missouri may try for the SEC.
The teams left int he cold seem to be Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas State, maybe Missouri if SEC or Big Ten don’t come through and maybe Kansas if the Pac 10 takes A&M.
However, Kansas seems to be looking at back up options including the Big East and SEC.
Tuesday the Texas teams will bolt the conference along with the Oklahoma schools. A&M will, in my opinion go SEC, but we shall see.
The the big 12 will end. Maybe the teams left behind will head to the Mountain West.
