While the last Transformers movie was lees than good (seeing Megan Fox being it's only redeeming value) I find the basis of the story to be very interesting. Good machines fighting bad machines to save mankind and planet Earth - excellent Sci-fi fodder.

Except that the franchise is being handled by Michael Bay, so the plot is secondary to his main purpose, which is to get as many explosions and unwatchably-fast fight scenes on screen as possible.
