Thanks for posting the pictures! Beautiful! You and others here have helped restore some of my lost motivation.

Digging out rock and chunks of hard packed clay to make a garden takes a LOT of motivation...and a mattock.

It’s easy to lose motivation when it rains every other day and you have to plant in MUD! ACK! The best week in May to plant, I was too busy, so here I am with only 13 tomato plants in the ground. My main garden bed had to be *mowed*, the weeds were so awful, and it was so muddy.

I may do some alternative plantings just to get stuff going. I’ve seen plantings IN bags of soil or potting mix, and I think I will do that. At least for some peppers. It won’t be pretty, but it will get us off the ground (literally).
