This is not a new story, but one that recurs over and over again. I don’t know how many brainiacs think they can sell military hardware and get away with it. They should know that every military base and camp has a number of undercover agents seeking to buy hardware just to test the system. The real fun part happens when they discover some officer’s status report is fraudulent. A career ender.

Heh...I've been on two (2) bases where a weapon is reported lost. Base lockdown for 3 days on Ft. Hood is NOT fun. Damn ROTC cadet propped his rifle up on a bush during the night and was too scared to report it stolen until they got in from the field.

SGM's wife and crew ran 10k on trail that AM and spotted it leaning up against the tree and dutifully took it home for SGM to "take to work".
