So in WoW you shoo monsters away or play dead instead of killing them? What kind of a game is that?

its a team effort. certain team members have the staying power to tangle with the monster, up close, while others have to stand off and do various other things. the character that grabs and holds the monster is the "tank" and can take a pounding, but cant do much damage, the ones who stand off are "casters"and do huge damage. if a monster jumps onto a caster, then the caster goes boom, or plays dead until the tank can come to his rescue.

No that’s just one of the skills for certain character classes. WoW is an MMORPG where you use swords, bows, magic, etc.
