Thanks for the update. I heard that on the news last night. I’m glad they are looking into the other cases. Too bad he’s probably killed who knows how many now before finally being caught. None-the-less, I’m glad they have him in custody.
It’s too bad he’s lawyered up now and adding all these lies as to what happened that will get him a lighter sentence. I hope if he does, in fact, reenact what went on in the hotel that his story doesn’t fit what evidence is there. He may be smart, but I hope they have some good forensics people to show the truth of what happened.
Peruvian authorities aren’t confirming the Bogota, Colombia cases at this time. The story came out on Spanish radio last night or late yesterday afternoon, but Peru hasn’t confirmed it, so apparently it turns out that report is somewhat iffy.
I’ll keep you posted if I learn more about its accuracy, one way or the other.
It was reported today that the Columbian law enforcement folks are stepping back for the near future while Peru gets all their ducks in a row. Apparently intruding at this critical time could actually be detrimental to both countries’ cases, so Columbia will wait a bit to investigate.
I doubt that Columbia would be interested unless they had Joran on tape at the casinos when these girls went missing. I don’t know if it was one event with two girls or two separate incidents.
