Urine gets his money through robbery, scams, conning women, loan sharks, and so forth. He used to get it from his parents, but now that Scumbag Sloot Sr. kicked off a few months ago, the family finances haven’t been real great. They weren’t real wealthy even when he was around. Sometimes Urine wins at poker, but mostly he loses, according to many people who have played in casinos with him. The place he was staying in Lima was a dump. He isn’t rolling in money. He’s always scrounging and hustling for cash. He got some money from the Aruban government for being arrested and not convicted (yeah, that’s the Aruban Way) but he burned through that in no time. He’s a gambling addict and he’s always on the hustle. He made some money in Thailand acquiring and sending young Thai women back to Der Nederland and other western Euro countries for prostitution but apparently fell out of favor either with the Thai government or the local underworld there, or perhaps both.
The Dutch consulate in Lima got him a volunteer attorney. How long that attorney will serve is unknown. I don’t know if the attorney is just representing him through this first phase or will be permanent.
Urine’s story is evolving. He now claims his 115 lb. female victim struck his 6’5” 235 lb. self first. He claims that in the time it took him to go next door to get two coffees, she got on his laptop computer, immediately found out who he is, found all his files on Natalee and fired on him about it when he came back. He now says she struck him first and it made him mad so he lost control and accidentally killed her. He also now says he was under the influence of marijuana, which in Peru can bring sentencing leniency. Everything Urine has said happened fulfills a mitigating element that would decrease his sentence. He comes up with this story after he gets the freebie lawyer. Coinkidink? I think not.
