Owning a Lamborghini supercar is the stuff of dreams for most young men, wherever they live.
And if you happen to be a twentysomething lorry driver from rural China, that dream would seem all the more unattainable.
But that fact only served to spur on 25-year-old Chen Jinmiao.
Realising he would never earn enough money to buy the real thing, Chen decided to build his own.
A year and the equivalent of £2,000 building later, he had his very own 'Lamborghini'.
And Chen is more than happy with his replica of the famous Italian sports marque - even if its 60 mph top speed is some 150mph behind the real thing.
Chen, of Binzhou in Hunan province, said: 'I downloaded the drawings from the internet, then bought the materials from the market.'
His bright yellow car even has the original's signature scissor doors.
But Chen, who has no formal engineering training, has yet to hear whether he will be allowed to drive his 'baby Lambo' on public roads.

That’s awesome. Nice work guy.
20 years from now, this guy is going to own the first Chinese supercar company. You watch. And while it won’t rival Pininfarina or Bertone, it probably won’t be any less reliable than most other supercars were in their early years.
Welll we hope its a girl never can tell with
Oh, and those front fenders are kind of distinctive, despite being mostly a result of the limitations of his materials and tools. He ought to try to keep them if he ever does start building.
Pretty cool!
Good on him!
LOL!! I hope he doesn’t get hit. He would be a dead dude.
I bet.
The amazing thing is that he did it himself, realized that while he didn’t have the money, he had the tools. Also of course, the drive and determination.
We used to be a nation of tinkers, hobbyist, builders.
We used to have shops in the garage or basement.
We used to celebrate inventors, builders, engineers and industrialist.
Now we are a nation of consumer, who sit around buying things.
Now we use terms like “post-industrial” and “service economy” to hide the fact that we don’t make anything anymore.
You going to pee off many of the free trader socialist here.
Hire him !

A lot of us still do.
When I really think about it, he would make a fortune starting a company that builds such things from scratch. And I am sure the quality will be better.
“A lot of us” numerically is still a P-poor, and declining, percentage.
The number that can’t even manage a “from scratch” bologna sandwich, let alone that little gem in the pic you posted, is steadily rising.
