Read the whole log.

You will be able to purchase an iPhone 4 6 months after you bought your previous iPhone -- if it was an iPhone.

Dunno what happens if you bought another phone.

Yeah, I’m almost sorry I got mine in January, too. Still, the last 4+ months have been fun, and my 3GS isn’t going to get any worse; in fact, iOS4 should bring improvements even on the older hardware.

This is the downside of the rapid development in cell phones. It becomes obsolete literally 6 months after buying. Based on my experience and other notes here, you will be stuck with your contract through Summer 2011. The good news is that Apple will be putting out ANOTHER new model at that time, you you’ll probably just skip this one but buy next years new model. It will be even bigger and better than this one announced today.

I just got a Droid knowing that they will have Droid 2 soon, Droid Incredible now for full price, or any number of other huge advancements from Android, Apple and everyone else before my contract is up for renewal. Nature of the beast these days. The good news is that you have probably the 2nd best phone ever made already.
