So, as conservatives, you have issues with the government telling you what personal choices one should make when it comes to their own life yet Rush is forbidden from having the same individual rights when it comes to his wedding, paid for by his money????

You don't have a slightest clue of what other FReepers are doing out in the community, but insulting our intelligence and our participating in the political process apart from posting on our dear F.R. We don't publicizes how much we are tithing or giving out of pocket or putting in of volunteering works, yet that YOU are padding yourself by showing your givings to F.R., really pathetic and self promoting, you really need to repent and do some self examination before lecturing others!!!

You reply is a reasonable, conventional, and simplistic explanation of what activism is and it's also accurate. What you have failed to see that activism also involves education and long term solutions to the problems we have today. You also fail to realize that we have to start somewhere.

You must be mistaken lady, I didn't write that explanation of what 'real activism', is you did. You're critiquing your own words (lol).

Basically, your reply is a clear indication that the real activism the left has been performing for years that has proven so effective for them, and devastating for us – is beneath you. No matter if it works, it takes too much effort. By stating that it is “simplistic”, you are basically putting yourself above the idea of real activism. You consider yourself “too good” to be out talking to people IRL. You probably assume that these people you would be talking to simply “wouldn’t be able to comprehend” your "intricate" twists and philosophies on the conservative ideology. Therefore, it is much easier for you to sit behind the computer and create your own definition of “activism”.

I suppose if I had to supply a definition of 'real activism' it would be actually standing up and running for public office, joining a campaign, fund-raising, etc. It might also mean starting or joining a 501c3 that espoused conservative values, or even something as 'simple' as GOTV participation which you alluded to or being a leader and/or mentor at church and/or in the community. Real activism would also include the type of street protest which at one time was the hallmark of being a FReeper. But I don't discount one bit the activism conducted via social media including Facebook (used to great effect by Sarah Palin), and sites like Free Republic. Why you think they don't matter is beyond me. The rest of your poorly drawn response isn't really worth responding to as you obviously haven't got a clue.

-btw you never did answer my question about your own 'activism'. If you're going to condescend to tell the rest of us to do more, the least you could do is set the example.
