Elton John and Rush Limbaugh may seem like an unlikely pair to be found at the same event, but perhaps a wedding is as good a place as any to put politics aside.

Uh, a $1,000,000 can make a large difference in one’s attitude.

This belongs in James Taranto’s column in the “Everything Is Seemingly Spinning Out of Control” section.

Rush should have hired Martina Mcbride or Lee Greenwood instead.
To: RDTF
Hate his lifestyle and politics but love his music.

What was Rush thinking? But I never really considered him a social conservative.
To: TSgt
Love Rush’s politics, but don’t care much for his lifestyle.
To: RDTF
Eh. He’s a good singer. Conservatism is about advancement (in this life) based on performance alone. Elton is very good at what he does.

Oh geez, I hope we don’t have to hear about this when Rush gets back from Rush. Forget it and move on to Obama!
I hate that he had Elton sing, or that Elton got 1 million from Rush, but it just goes to show that liberal whacks CAN be bought. Probably the new wife’s idea. Hard to find a big time performer who isn’t country and isn’t liberal though. So, I guess Elton had to shut up and sing.

Maybe he likes his music? Contrary to media meme, Rush is not. Homophobe.
To: RDTF
Ah, Rush is trying to start a new divorce off right!

Well, since it was Rush and his new bride's wedding, it was THEIR choice on whom to hire. Or is individual freedom just an ideology???

I would imagine his new bride, Kathyrn Harris is a huge Elton John fan. Rush is a classy guy.
