I predict in the end, the Texas schools will join the SEC.
SEC?....interesting
I don’t see the Longhorns joining the SEC. Texas wants its own little fiefdom, and an 8 team “Pac-16 West” would be perfect. Besides, unlike the Big 12 South, SEC schools know how to play defense.
the SEC has no use for them....the conference is incredibly strong and they are not going to invite more big time programs in so as to beat the crap out of one another...I think the Big 12 survives, worst cast scenario if Nebraska joins the Big Ten, UT, A&M, TT, OU, OSU, Baylor, Mizzu, K-State, Kansas and may TCU reform the SWC....
Then we can see if Texas is truly good or just sub par.
I say this as a true Orangeblood from Texas by the way.
Pac-10 administrators arrived in San Francisco this weekend to a report that the conference was ready to invite Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Baylor from the Big 12 to create a 16-team megaconference. There has also been a report that Baylor could replace Colorado in that scenario or the Pac-10 could choose to keep the status quo or add only two teams in a smaller move.
