I watched it last night, the show was excellent, two teams of marksman teamed up against each other. The show is much like survivor but with all kinds of shooting skills, very cool, check it out if you can. The first show in the series was last night, you can probably still catch it.
Here is the Trailer for the show on YouTube. I recommend freepers watch it, very good
I wonder if that’s what they call the “round robin” that is coming up and they get to shoot all weapons, pistols, shotgun, muzzleloader ...
He did the Hunting and Safety course first. I think he’s going to do shotgun next. He’s working on his Eagle in Boy Scouts and has his “Rifle Shooting Merit Badge” already. He had to shoot 5 seperate targes (with a .22) and put 5 bullets within the size of quarter on all 5 targets, he’s a pretty good shot.
Actually, he’s been rekindling my love of guns ...
He shot a smiley face on the target -— that cracked me up!
For FR Front Sight students, one of the contestants is Front Sight instructor Bill Carns:

I saw it. Liked the format. Didn’t like the exploding targets. Didn’t like the lack of time requirements on the shoots, nor points [+ or-] for tight groups; and particularly didn’t like the rifle selection. Liked the ‘03. Could live with the M 14. Could tolerate the Moison-Nagant. But NO Lee-Enfield? No Mauser ‘98? And how about a StG 44 and an M 1 Garand?
I liked the expoding targets, makes it easy to see the hit, if the targets didn’t explode they would have to have zoomins on the target and it wouldn’t be very impressive, I think it removes all doubt that the target was hit ... The choice of weapsons didn’t bother me, the show is just beginning, I’m sure they’ll be more coming up for you ;)
I saw it, thought it was crap. They say they are looking for the best shooter. Then they started voting off competitors for their personalities. I’ve never seen an episode of Survivor but I have competed in hundreds of sanctioned shooting competitions. What matters is the score at the end of the match. Why not let them shoot the many kinds of weapons in differing disciplines, keep a running tally (like they do with loads hauled over the ice or log loads hauled or pounds of crabs caught), and at the end of the season, we find the best shot. I was disappointed, I had high hopes.
Yeah I saw it last nite. Pretty good!
The guy that shot crappy got his butt kicked by an excellent marksman, I think the show was very entertaining and I could have outshot that guy who was voted off, the show worked just fine for me.
I thought the shootoff was unfair. The kid was a long distance rifle shooter who does that currently. The other guy wasn’t.
They shoud have chosen a neutral format [single action revolvers in an Old West timed draw on target[s], a skeet shoot, etc]. Would have been fairer.
Yes, and he might have beat the other guy with the shotgun or slingshot or bow. But we’ll never know, he got booted after the opening round. They aren’t looking for the best shot. They could be throwing darts at balloons at a carnival, then voting off people and it would mean as much.
I agree. He was awfully cocky and shouldn't have talked smack if he couldn't back it up. I'm sure that the producers encourage the participants to talk smack to make the show more interesting, so I'll assume that wasn't really the way that this guy usually acts (unless I learn differently).
Wasn't it stated that he took almost 30 shots at the 100-yard target (with a lot of them so far off target that the spotter couldn't really help). This is puzzling. IIRC, his teammate took only one or two shots to hit the 50-yard target, so it doesn't appear that the sights were seriously off. I think that the shooter panicked when he kept missing and the other team got so far ahead. Wasn't this shooter the same guy who questioned other people's ability to shoot under pressure?
All in all, an interesting show. Sure beats Monster Quest or any of the stupid UFO shows or Axe Men and Ice Road Truckers with the contrived load competitions (although I really like Alex).

Saw the show and will definitely keep watching. I am sooooo glad that Kelly kicked Mike’s butt. That man had it coming.
Very cool, those that missed the epsiode can now watch it using the link you posted, thanks ..
I missed it. how was the show presented to the TV viewers safety wise? eyes/ears used, the 4 rules followed etc?
